The staff at the Fayette County Health Department is committed to providing public health services for all of its residents with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.

Services offered at the health department include Help Me Grow, BCMH (Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps), communicable disease reporting and tracking, school health nursing, family planning, blood pressure screenings, tuberculosis screening and follow-up, the WIC program (Women, Infants and Children), United Way assistance, the Care Van outreach and community education.

The health department provides birth and death certificates through our Vital Statistics Division.

Environmental Services staff inspect food establishments and vending machines, manufactured home parks, swimming pools, water testing, septic system inspections, nuisance abatement and rabies control.

* Flu shots when needed, Cholesterol and Blood sugar testing

*Communicable Disease surveillance

* Blood pressure screenings available, TB testing, and Head Lice screenings

*WIC to provide good nutrition, classes and Breastfeeding support

* Rolling Rimples

* Fayette Fat Fighters (free, every Monday evening to encourage and help with weight loss)
